Sport Horse Symposium
Sunday June 1, noon to 4pm

2008 Stall Reservations

Cathy is now accepting stall reservations for the 2008 show season. The procedure is the same as last year...fill out the form attached below and mail it with your check to the address at the bottom of the form. Visit the Library page to see the barn layouts.

NO reservations will be accepted WITHOUT payment.

Attached below for your convenience is a membership application for the Arabian Horse Association. Membership with AHA is NOT required to show at EMAA, but you do need to be an AHA member in order to participate in the ACS Year End Award program.

Michigan Horse Show Association
Activity Award

MHSA Adult/Youth Activity Award.  Anyone who is a member of MHSA and competes at EMAA shows can submit their results and be in the running for these awards. The adult and youth activity awards will be presented to the MHSA adult or youth member and their horse that has accumulated the highest number of points in non- MHSA approved shows. This award is per one rider/one horse and cannot be combined. This award will be available in the following divisions: Arabian, Challenge of the Breed (this division is for horses that are not eligible for any other division) Half Arabian, Hunter, Jumper, Morgan, Paso Fino, and Saddlebred. The form for this award can be found in the Blue Book or website:  www.MichiganHorseShow.com

 The rider/horse accumulating the most points by 9/15 of the current year shall be named Champion and the second highest point earner shall be named Reserve Champion.

 

  • Forms must be turned in within one week of the end of each horse show
  • Form must include show secretary signature, showbill, and must be completely filled out (form attached below)

 Points will not count if form is incomplete.  Age of individual determined by December 1st of previous year.

 

Points are given for 1st -4th place.  Classes with less than 6 horses receive one point for each horse.   

Example:  4 in class: 1st=4, 2nd=3, 3rd=2, 4th=1.  

6 or more:  1st=6, 2nd=5, 3rd+4, 4th=3.  Championships are doubled.

EMAA Dressage News

 

We are looking for scribes for all four shows this year. This position carries a salary of $50 per day, or you can volunteer your time and have it count towards your volunteer hours for the year end dressage award. Full or half day sessions are available.

We are also in need of a dressage in-gate person for the 2nd and 4th shows. Same as above, there is a paid salary, or you can volunteer and have the hours credited towards the year end award.

EMAA Youth Club
The Youth Club will be holding monthly meetings using AOL Instant Messenger on the internet. The meetings will take place on the first Wednesday of each month at 7pm.
